Our workWebsite design, custom booking & Google Calendar integration
You’ve got an idea for a podcast. You’ve finally convinced your colleague to get behind a microphone. Now you just need somewhere to record it.
Booking the studio should be the easy part.
That was a big consideration when we created the new website for Lichfield Podcast Studio, based on Lombard Street in Lichfield, Staffordshire. Alongside a bold design that reflects the studio’s personality, we built a custom booking system to help customers organise their sessions and give the team a straightforward way to manage them.

Make the options clear. Make the next step obvious.
The studio offers much more than a room with a couple of microphones. There’s multi-camera podcast recording, a content creation room, music production, editing, social clips and fully managed podcast packages. Businesses can arrive with an idea and get help turning it into something ready to share.
Our job was to make those options easy to understand, then make the next step obvious.
We gave each service room to explain itself, with clear package information, relevant imagery and direct routes into booking. Someone planning their first podcast can see what’s included. A regular creator can get straight to choosing their session.
A custom booking system built around the studio
Customers move through a series of manageable steps: choose what they need, select the session length, check available dates and times, then add any production extras.
Editing and delivery options sit within that same process, with a running total so customers can see what their choices cost before they reach payment. There’s an overview to check everything, followed by their details and secure online payment.
It keeps the decisions in a sensible order. Nobody needs to work through a huge form just to find out whether Tuesday afternoon is available.

Easy to book on a phone, too
We carried the website’s styling through the booking screens, so the experience feels consistent from the first visit to the final step. The layout works on mobile too, making it practical to book a session while discussing an idea with a colleague or checking dates on the go.

A booking calendar connected to Google Calendar
Behind the scenes, the calendar does some of the heavy lifting. We built a manageable booking calendar linked directly to the studio’s Google Calendar, giving the team a familiar place to keep track of what’s coming up.
Confirmed bookings feed into the connected calendar, while busy time from the configured Google calendars can block availability on the website. That connection helps keep online bookings aligned with the team’s working diary, without manually copying every appointment between systems.
The studio also has controls for opening hours, unavailable periods and booking changes. Confirmations, reminders and follow-ups support the process, keeping customers informed and helping the team stay on top of the details around each session.
A website that helps with the working day
For us, this is where custom website development earns its keep. The useful work continues after someone clicks “Book now”.
Lichfield Podcast Studio now has a website that introduces the business, explains its services and gives customers a clear route to booking. The connected calendar and booking tools are designed to reduce repetitive administration, leaving the team more time for the recording and production work people come to them for.
A local studio with plenty to say, and a website that helps people get through the door.
