Content updates & blogging
Answer the questions your customers actually ask, keep service information accurate and publish useful examples from your own experience. Research relevant search terms, then use them naturally in titles, headings and copy.
Add helpful photographs or video where they explain the subject. Updating a page alone does not guarantee a ranking improvement; focus on making it more useful.
Optimise your images
Use descriptive filenames such as red-leather-sofa.jpg and size images appropriately so pages load efficiently. Write alt text that explains meaningful images for people who cannot see them, without stuffing in keywords.
Use internal links
Connect new articles to relevant service pages and useful existing posts. Choose descriptive link text so readers know where a link will take them.
For example, explore our SEO services is clearer than a bare web address or “click here”. Add links where they help someone take the next step.
Keep local information up to date
Keep your Google Business Profile accurate, including your opening hours, contact details and services. Make sure customers can find the same information on your website, and encourage honest reviews from people who have used your business.
Analyse performance
Look at Search Console, website analytics and your monthly reports together. Which searches bring people in, which pages do they use, and which visits become calls, enquiries or orders?
Use those patterns to decide what to improve next. Compare meaningful time periods, taking seasonal changes into account.
Earn relevant backlinks
Create useful material that relevant organisations, suppliers or publications would want to reference. Expert advice, original case studies and helpful resources can give others a reason to link to you.
Avoid buying links or arranging excessive link swaps to manipulate rankings. Concentrate on genuine relationships and content that earns attention.
