This week marked a proud moment in our local community as St Anne’s Church celebrated its 160-year anniversary — a landmark milestone for a building that holds deep historical and emotional significance in Burntwood and beyond. As the first church in England to have electricity, St Anne’s has long been a symbol of progress and community spirit.
At inLIFE, we were honoured to sponsor and support this special occasion, which brought together local schools, charities, councillors, and our Member of Parliament to reflect on the church’s past, present and future. The event was hosted by Reverend Richard, who led a heartfelt presentation and showcased a touching video that highlighted the many ways the church continues to serve the local area — from charity partnerships and food banks to wellbeing walks, youth groups and support services.

St Anne’s Church sits right next to the land where our eco-friendly inLIFE Lodge now stands, and the church has been home to inLIFE Directors Great Grand parents, Grandparents and family since.
David’s grandfather also historically pumped the organ manually during services, long before electric motors took over. It’s those small but powerful memories that make our involvement in this celebration all the more meaningful.
