Inspiring the Next Generation with BBC Bitesize
Last Friday, our Managing Director, David Whitehouse, had the privilege of returning to his roots at Chase Terrace Primary Academy to take part in a BBC Bitesize panel. Hosted by BBC presenter Lucas Yeomans, the event was a lively and inspiring experience for both the panellists and the students.
David was joined on the panel by local artist Molly Beard and BBC worker Esther Beckley, creating a dynamic mix of creative and professional expertise. Together, they shared stories of their journeys, providing valuable insights into their respective fields. David’s segment focused on his experience of running a business, offering the students a glimpse into the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship.
His advice was tailored to inspire the young audience, emphasising the importance of resilience, creativity, and staying true to one’s vision. David encouraged the students to pursue their passions, take risks, and not be afraid of failure, as it’s often a stepping stone to success.
One of the highlights of the event was the interactive Q&A session, where a microphone rugby ball was thrown around the audience. The students eagerly participated, asking a range of thoughtful questions about the different career paths represented on stage. This fun and engaging format kept the energy high and allowed the panellists to connect more directly with the students.
David thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to return to his old school and contribute to the community by inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs and creatives. The event was a great success, and it’s safe to say that the students left with plenty of food for thought.
This panel at Chase Terrace Primary Academy is another step for inLIFEs commitment to supporting local education and inspiring young minds.
