Our CEO decided to head back to his old haunting ground this week and re visit his high School at Chase Terrace Technology College.

The Careers week was headed up by Julie Poppleton with a series of events throughout the week. The idea was to inspire students about multiple career options as well as running their own business.

“Thanks so much for coming in it was a great session and we could not inspire future generations without the time our employers and partners give us” – Julie Poppleton

The first event David helped out with was running a Web Design workshop on Tuesday. The workshop ran for just over an hour and we were informed that this was the most popular workshop of the day. David worked with students introducing them to the powers of content management systems and setting them the task to go ahead and create their own website with a simple CMS.

The second event David got to be one of the Dragons in Chase Terrace’s very own Dragons Den, filtering down some select students to a final few who faced all the Dragons. There were some amazing (and obscure) ideas but all the students really got involved and there were some great young minds at work!

We will certainly be getting involved again next year
